Moeller Clothing Drive
This week is Moeller’s annual clothing drive, which is not only a wonderful charitbale event, but also an opportunity to earn house points.
Moeller holds this each year, allowing students, faculty, and their friends and families to donate gently used, clean clothes. Donations are given to St. Vincent de Paul and used to help families in need in the greater Cincinnati areas.
St. Vincent de Paul has served Greater Cincinnati communities for over 140 years, and Moeller is proud to be able to support their clothing drive through student donations. They ask for anything that is in wearable condition: scarfs, socks, jackets, t-shirts, and especially coats, which are always in high demand during cold Cincinnati winters. The clothes that are collected during the drive are also sold in their thrift stores; the proceeds are then used to assist in other programs St. Vincent de Paul offers for those in need.
Because this is also a house competition, mentor group captains were advised to spread the message about the clothing drive, so students could make the greatest impact possible. The drive will end at 9:30 Friday morning, which coincides with the start of our late arrival school day.
