New Teacher Profile: Mrs. Harris, Math Department
One of Moeller’s newest teachers is Mrs. Harris, who teaches Algebra I and Pre-Calculus.
Mrs. Harris taught at multiple schools before coming to Moeller. She taught at Seton High School for about 6 years and also worked at Mount Notre Dame as a math specialist for 8 years. She worked with Algebra and Pre-Calc students at both of her previous schools, so she brings a lot of experience to all of her classes at Moeller.
Mrs. Harris earn her undergrad degree in Business Administration from Wittenburg University. She then went on to get her master’s in education from Mount St. Joe. She says that she enjoys teaching because she likes to see her kids “grow throughout the year” and wants to build connections with students and help them succeed. She truly “wants all of her students to find a love for math”. This can be a very difficult goal, but one that is sure to benefit students in all of her classes.
When she is out of school, Mrs. Harris stays very active. Some of her hobbies include yoga, taking walks, listening to podcasts, and chasing her kids around. She enjoys county music and loves listening to Luke Combs. On the topic of favorite musicians, Mrs. Harris added, “My daughter would kill me if I don’t say Taylor Swift.” She also says that her favorite food would definitely have to be dark chocolate.
Mrs. Harris is a great addition to the Moeller community. Welcome and we hope you have a great year!
