Mr. Shaffer Moving into Principal Role

Mr. Michael Shaffer has been the Dean of Students at Moeller for several years, but next year, he will take on the role of principal.

The response to this news from students was extremely positive, and while the student body is sad to see Mr. Kremer retiring from that role, everybody is excited that Mr. Shaffer will be taking it on. Moeller will be in good hands, and students will still get to see Coach K around the building next year too!

The Crusader spoke with Junior Nathan Otten about his thoughts on Mr. Shaffer becoming the next principal of Moeller.

Crusader: What do you think about Mr. Shaffer taking on the role of principal next year?

Otten: Overall, he is a cool Dean of Students, and to see him become a principal in my senior year will be fun.

Crusader: Do you think he is the right fit to become Moeller’s next principal?

Otten: From all the candidates that I have heard of, I really believe that Mr. Shaffer was the best option. He has a great personality, and I think he will be a great leader as our next principal!

Thanks, Nathan, for your time! The Crusader also talked with Mr. Shaffer, current Dean of Students.

Crusader: How have you enjoyed your time here at Moeller?

Shaffer: It has truly been a blast. Just interacting with all the students throughout the years and seeing all the changes to the building throughout my time here has been really amazing.

Crusader: Now for the big question: how will you endure the role of becoming a principal next year?

Shaffer: When they asked me if I wanted to be a principal, at first, I was a little unsure at the time, but with the future of this school and all the amazing students, it really made my decision easier.

The Crusader would like to thank Nathan Otten and Mr. Shaffer for their time!
