Moeller Prom 2024!

Moeller Juniors and Seniors celebrated prom on April 27th at the Manor House in Mason. The prom lasted from 8-11 and offered many entertainment options. DJ ETrayn was the emcee for the night and made sure that the evening was a success. Refreshments were made available as there was a bartender working to get students Sprite and Coke, as well as cookies and frozen candy. I interviewed students to see how they felt about their prom experience.

First, I talked to Senior Kyle Havens about his expectations before prom and what he was looking forward to most. Havens said, “I am expecting a good time. I am excited to go to prom since it is my last dance with my girlfriend, and I like to slow dance. However, I also like to join the mosh pits. It is fun to dance, and there aren’t many times where I am able to do things like this with my best friends.”

After prom, I was able to catch up with Havens to see if the event had lived up to his expectations. “It was very enjoyable; the DJ was amazing. It was fun to get up on the mic and sing along to the songs.” Havens went on to say, “The food and drinks were amazing too. I needed to get something to eat after sweating. I had to refuel with their Shirley Temples and cookies. Overall, it was a great time. I capped off the night by hanging out with my best friends and messing around.”

I was also able ask Senior Carson Holt about what he is looking forward to for prom. Holt said, “I am looking forward to the DJ. I hope he has some good music that is fun to dance to and laugh around with. I am looking forward to dancing and hanging with friends. I am also looking forward to hanging out with my friends after the dance.” Holt said after the dance that his favorite part was seeing all his friends and having fun.

Senior Max Gordon had this to say about his favorite part of prom: “I enjoyed hanging out with my friends the whole night. I was able to take pictures and eat food with my best friends before the dance. The actual dance was great too. When everyone was getting hyped, it was really fun. Me and my friends were all laughing and having a good time. It was great to see everybody.”

All in all, it was a great night for the junior and seniors!
