Position Group Dinners Build Teammate Relations for Moeller Football
No matter the team or the sport, any group that wants to succeed on the court or field needs to have good working relationships among members. Here at Moeller, our athletics are built upon brotherhood between teammates. One way the football team fosters this brotherhood is through position group dinners every week.
All the players within a certain position group go to one player’s house or a restaurant to have dinner together. These position group dinners for the football team create an opportunity for upperclassmen to spend some time with underclassmen and really get a chance to know them outside of practice and school. This is a great not only for team building but also for fostering friendships. The time players and coaches set aside is especially important in the early part of the season during June or July, when players are still getting acquainted with one another. The group dinners also fit well into the Marianist tradition of fellowship.
The position group dinners are a great way to strengthen the bond among team members and build community between athletes.
