Moeller Lacrosse 2024 Roster Boasts Leadership and Experience

Moeller Lacrosse is gearing up for the 2024 season.
The lacrosse team ended last year’s season with a record of 14-8 and the three seed in the OHSAA tournament. Unfortunately, the season came to a close in a heartbreaking 9-10 loss in the regional final to St. X. Even though the team graduated 18 seniors last year, the 2024 squad is not lacking in talent or leadership.
Head Coach Mark Lynch ’97 is entering his third season with the Crusaders, and he has a strong team with ample experience. Some names to watch are leading points scorer Brennen Hickey ‘24, leading goal scorer Noah Smith ‘24, third team all-state midfielder Bo Hagerty ‘24, and starting goalie Ryan Miller ‘24. These are just a few highlights on the 2024 roster.
The Crusader sat down with Brennen Hickey to discuss the upcoming 2024 season.
Crusader: Are you excited about the returning group you have this year?
Hickey: Yes, I’m pumped for the guys coming back. This group we have works really well together. Last year’s run helped create chemistry for this year.
Crusader: As one of the leaders for this team, how can you help the younger guys on the team get ready for the season?
Hickey: Through the practices and lifts. Just kind of guide the younger guys who don’t have the varsity speed and experience yet. Once our younger guys have some experience through our practices, they will be successful.
Crusader: What is the expectation for the team come the end of the season?
Hickey: Get out of the region. Win a state championship.
