The team finished its season with a 16-12-3 overall regular season record. This marked the first time in three years that the team posted a winning record. In conference play, the team had an 8-7-1 record, which was their best in the Capital Hockey Conference since moving up to the top division three years ago. The team also had some standout performances, including four shutouts during the regular season and two wins against top ten ranked teams.

One of the team’s most memorable moments was a huge comeback win against St. X. The boys trailed 2-0 going into the third period but scored four goals to win 4-2. Overall, the Moeller Varsity Hockey Team had a successful season and showed great determination and skill on the ice.

The Crusader talked with Assistant Captain Dominic Bosco about his favorite parts of his senior season.

Crusader: What was your all-time favorite part of this season?

Bosco: My favorite part of this season was coming back and beating St. X at Heritage Bank Arena. The boys were super hyped up for this game, and although we came out a little shaky, we locked in and did our job.

Crusader: What lessons do you want to pass on to the younger kids on the team?

Bosco: There are a lot of different lessons I want to pass down to the younger kids on the team, one of them being do not let your attitude get in the way.

Crusader: How was it being an assistant captain?

Bosco: It felt super good to have a leadership role this year. I loved being able to lead some of the younger kids through their first year of Moeller Hockey.

The hockey team had a great season this year, and The Crusader is excited to see how they do next year!
