Moeller Hockey Player Spotlight - Cooper Ralston

The Crusader wanted to take time to recognize and interview one of the core players contributing to Moeller Hockey’s success this season: Cooper Ralston. Ralston is a four-year hockey player and four-year rugby player at Moeller. This year, Ralston plays forward for the varsity squad. He is a very important player on the ice, helping lead the team to big wins like the one against St. X at Heritage Bank Center.

The Crusader interviewed Ralston to find out his views on the team and the season so far.

Crusader: What first made you interested in playing hockey?

Ralston: I was first interested in hockey because I would watch it all the time and played street hockey with some friends in my neighborhood.

Crusader: Favorite Moeller Hockey experience?

Ralston: Beating St. X in the third period this year.

Crusader: Favorite part of practice?

Ralston: The intensity.

Crusader: What is one piece of advice you would give to underclassmen athletes?

Ralston: Work as hard as you can and leave everything out on the rink.

Crusader: Who is your favorite Moeller Hockey Alumni?

Ralston: Brennan “Sticky” Mortonstrauss. He welcomed me in, and I got close with him my freshman and sophomore year.

Crusader: Hockey or Rugby?

Ralston: It’s an even battle between hockey and rugby. I think I like one sport better when I am in season.

A big thanks to Cooper Ralston for taking the time to talk with The Crusader. Congrats on an excellent senior hockey season!
