The Moeller Indoor Track team just finished its regular season two weeks ago, with its final meet at the President’s Day Weekend Invite held in Louisville, Kentucky. The season was highlighted by a team win in the Mount Saint Joseph Indoor Meet and the 4x400-meter relay, qualifying for the indoor state meet. Additionally, Junior Christian Stewart qualified in the high jump, and Senior Richard Obioha qualified in the shot put.

The Crusaders also competed in meets at Ohio State, Wittenberg University, and Cedarville University. Beginning this season at Ohio State, the results included podium finishes in four events, headlined by Obioha’s first place finish in the shot put and Stewart’s first place finish in the high jump. Relay and field event teams competed at Wittenberg, and at Cedarville, the 4 x 200-meter relay team brought home first place as well as another win by Obioha in the shot put.

In Moeller’s team win at the Mount Saint Joseph Indoor Meet, Moeller Juniors Matthew Fogler and Stosh Zielinski finished first and second, respectively, in the 200-meter dash. In the 1600-meter run, Sophomore Owen Speed finished first overall, and in the 3200-meter run, Moeller Junior Preston Wesley finished second, just behind the leader and senior Jacob Herzog, who finished third. In the 400-meter dash, Junior Jackson Butler finished third. Senior Richard Obioha again won the shot put. In Louisville, the team competed well with multiple podium finishes in individual events, as well as the 4x400 team finishing first and qualifying for the state meet.

The Moeller Track Season will end March 1st at the OATCCC Division 1 Indoor State Meet at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Following the end of the indoor season, Moeller Track will begin practicing for the outdoor season
