Track and Field Sets Sights on Going Back-to-Back in GCL

As the spring season unfolds, the Moeller Track Team once again finds itself in the spotlight. With a legacy of excellence behind them and a young roster brimming with talent, the expectations for this year's team are high. The team’s roster size has doubled from 60 to about 120.

Year after year, the Moeller track team has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, both on and off the track. The Crusaders’ dedication to training, unwavering work ethic, and passion for the sport have earned them a reputation as formidable competitors. But this season, the stakes are even higher as they strive to surpass their previous achievements and set new records. The team hopes to go back-to-back as GCL Championship, which will help Moeller in its overall athletics standing.

The team as a whole is hungry to surpass expectations. From seasoned veterans to promising newcomers, each member of the Moeller Track Team brings something unique to the table. Whether it's sprinting, distance running, hurdles, or field events, the depth of talent on this year's roster is undeniable. The leaders this year will be Drew Robinson, Micah Rice, Karson Hobbs, Jordan Marshall, Jacob Herzog, and Richard Obioha.

But it's not just talent that sets the Moeller track team apart; it's their relentless determination to push the boundaries of what they can achieve. Coach Frank Russo and his staff have instilled in their athletes a belief in their own capabilities, urging them to strive for greatness with every stride they take.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Moeller Track as they work towards another GCL title. The road ahead will be challenging, but if there's one thing this team knows how to do, it's rise to the occasion when the pressure is on.

Moeller’s first meet is Saturday, March 23 at La Salle High School. Good luck to the team as it starts the 2024 season!
