Lacrosse Aims for Playoffs

Moeller Lacrosse is in full throttle. With an overall record of 7-7, the team looks to continue its season with a chance of making the playoffs this year. As the season progresses, every senior on that team knows that the end of their high school career is nearing. It is unfortunate, but it is something that happens to everybody who plays a high school sport. The Crusader talked to Senior Captain Brennan Hickey and Head Coach Mark Lynch about this year’s Lacrosse playoff prospects.

The Crusader: You have been playing Lacross here at Moeller for four years. Are you excited to continue playing at the collegiate level?

Hickey: I have been playing Lacrosse since I can remember; the fact that I am able to continue playing the sport I love at a college that I love is just amazing, I hope that we can do something special here at Moeller for my last year!

The Crusader: Currently, the team is at 7-7 on the year with a very hard schedule. What are your thoughts on that standing?

Hickey: Yeah, the record may not be where we all want it to be, but overall, we have had a tough schedule, and as long as we continue putting 100 percent out there day in and day out, we should have a shot to make a run this year.

Thanks to Brennan for his time, and we wish him good luck with his senior year!

The Crusader also talked to Head Coach Lynch about this year and the future of the program.

The Crusader: How do you think your season is going so far?

Mr. Lynch: Our record may not be where we want it to be, but we have a great team, and especially a great set of seniors. If we stay hot, we are planning on making a good run at the playoffs!

The Crusader: Now that you mentioned the seniors, what do you have to say about them?

Mr. Lynch: They really are an amazing group; they have heart and chemistry. I hope they all continue to play lacrosse after this season is over.

The Crusader would like to thank Brennan Hickey and Mr. Lynch for taking the time to talk with The Crusader. Good luck on the rest of the season!
