Moeller Lacrosse Prepares for Promising 2026 Season
As spring sports start, Moeller’s lacrosse team is preparing for what looks like a competitive and exciting season. After months of preseason practices and lifts, the Crusaders are eager and ready to start the season and build on the program’s tradition.
This year’s team features a mix of experienced upperclassmen and younger players who are ready to step into larger roles. Brady Newlin stated in an interview, “We only have 8 seniors this year compared to the 18 we had last year, and most of them are on the defensive side.” This is important because it opens up spots for younger players on offense to prove themselves.
Team chemistry has been a major focus during the preseason. Players have spent time working together during practices and lifts in order to prepare for the obstacles they will face later on in the season. Senior leaders on the team believe that the team’s work ethic and commitment will help lead them to a successful season.
Brady Newlin also said, “Our goal is to compete in every game and keep improving as the season goes on. We have a lot of talent on this team, and if we keep working together, we can accomplish a lot.”
The team will face a challenging schedule throughout the season with several matchups that could test the Crusaders early. Seniors on the team can’t stress enough the importance of having fans and students come to their games. The effect of having fans and students at the game could be the determining factor, so make sure you show up and support Moeller’s lacrosse team.
