Moeller Football Prepares for the Post Season

The Moeller Crusaders ended the regular season 6-4 and are looking to make a far run in the 2023 postseason. Moeller had some ups and downs this season but ended with a good 38-6 win over the Martin Luther King Crusaders in Detroit.

Moeller has shown vast improvement since the beginning of their season going 1-3. Since then, they have had a 5-1 record, with a loss to the St. Edward Eagles by just a single touchdown. The Crusaders have played some very promising football and look to play their best as the postseason starts up.

Last week, the Crusaders faced the West Clermont Wolves in the first round of the playoffs, winning handily 49-13. Team Captain Drew Robinson, who ended the St. Ed’s game with 5 interceptions, is looking to, “make a deep run in the playoffs this year.” Robinson wants to lead his guys and is pumped to start the postseason. “Me and the guys are ready to dominate this week and look to get better and better each week through the postseason.”

Moeller will face the St. Xavier Bombers in the second round of the playoffs on Friday, November 3rd at St. Xavier. This GCL showdown is sure to be a good one as the Crusaders beat the Bombers 20-10 in the regular season.

The Crusaders have played their best ball this last half of the season. The defense has been putting on a show, ending the year with 24 takeaways, and the offense has been on fire, ending the season with 21 touchdowns.

Led by Senior Captains Kyler Paul, Drew Robinson, Jordan Marshall, Eli Jacon-Duffy, and Karson Hobbs, the Crusaders aim for the State Championship this year. Good luck Moeller Football!
