Lacrosse Team Playoff Ready!

This year's Moeller Lacrosse Team is unique. They have one of the toughest schedules out of their competitors and are still proving why they deserve the schedule.

Moeller beat their rival St. Xavier in a close game, 13-12. This was one of the biggest wins of the season, if not the biggest. This win gives them huge confidence to go into their playoff season. Lacrosse Captain Tommy Stines said, “The St. X lacrosse game was one of the hardest challenges for the team, but we are playing the best ball we have all year right now and are more than ready and are well equipped for playoffs.”

The Moeller Lacrosse team’s record is 8-6, having knocked down monumental wins over St. X, Cathedral, and Milford. This year’s team has worked hard to improve and is a profoundly improved team. Joel Brown, Tommy Stines, and Jack Regruth are seniors on the team and have all committed to playing at the next level. After Moeller’s win over St. X, the Bombers came out with a surprising upset over Upper Arlington. Arlington is a very solid team and even beat Moeller earlier this season. Lacrosse Senior Will Scahill’s said, “Both of those teams are very solid teams, and anybody could come out on top. When we played them, we did not play them as a team; we each tried to win individually. If we beat UA, we will need to play together. Along with us playing X again possibly.”

This team is unique, and they have the talent to take each other to the State Championship. The team is more than qualified and ready for the playoffs. Everyone at Moeller will be watching and listening when this team steps out on the field in the next few weeks. Good luck!
